With over 17 years of experience, Barry is a successful and proven advocate for family and divorce clients.
Barry represents clients in all areas of family law, including, divorce, child custody (decision-making), parenting time (access), child relocation and Hague Convention matters, support related matters, complex property division issues, domestic contracts (prenuptial, cohabitation, separation, and parenting agreements), and sensitive child protections matters with the Children’s Aid Society.
With his broad and focused experience in family law, Barry provides strategic and effective solutions for his clients.
Barry regularly appears in the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice. While Barry acts for clients on complex appeal matters, he is recognized for his ‘focus on the bottom line’ and ‘narrowing the issues’, often resolving matters in mediation.
Barry’s clear and no-nonsense advice is well received by the media, where news networks reach out to him for his advice and opinion.
Barry completed the combined JD/MBA program at Osgoode Hall and the Schulich School of Business.
Prior to practicing law, Barry was an associate at an international consulting firm, where he provided international tax consulting services to Canadian multinational companies.
Barry has volunteered as a Mandatory Information Program instructor at the 47 Sheppard Family Court House to provide litigants with an overview of the legal process and general approach to managing one’s case through the court system.
In his personal time, Barry enjoys running, the hot sun, and spending time with his wife and five wonderful children.
