Tanys is thrilled to join the team at Nussbaum Law, where she brings a client-focused and compassionate approach to family law.

Tanys earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)from Queen’s University Belfast and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) at the University of Toronto, where she also participated in academic exchange programs at the University of Oxford and the University of Siena.

During law school, she worked closely with numerous social service agencies where she gained valuable practical experience in addressing criminal and family law issues. These early experiences not only deepened her understanding of the human side of family law but also instilled in her a lasting commitment to achieving fair, practical, and compassionate outcomes for her clients.

Building on this foundation, Tanys has developed a strong litigation practice devoted to resolving high-conflict family matters. As a family law litigator, much of her work is dedicated to courtroom advocacy, where she has represented clients before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Divisional Court of Ontario.

Outside of work, Tanys loves staying active and adventurous, whether she’s on the ice playing hockey, skiing down a slope, or learning to fly a plane.
