At Nussbaum Law, we offer fixed fees for the following services:

Marriage Contracts/Cohabitation Agreements/Prenuptial Agreements 

A marriage contract/cohabitation agreement is an agreement entered into by two people, in a common law relationship or marriage. It can set out specific provisions to deal with the marrying couple’s assets and liabilities from the relationship, as well as those they came into the relationship with and what they acquire during the relationship. It can additionally set out spousal support obligations of each party, upon breakdown of the relationship. 

We are pleased to offer our clients a fixed-fee service for marriage contracts in the amount of $2,500 + HST, subject to both parties providing full financial disclosure. 

Separation Agreement 

A separation agreement is a legally binding domestic contract. It typically contains details pertaining to child related issues such as decision-making responsibility, parenting time arrangements, support obligations and financial issues such as equalization and spousal support. 

We are pleased to offer our clients a fixed-fee service for separation agreements in the amount of $2,500 + HST, subject to both parties providing full financial disclosure and an agreement on the terms. 

Uncontested Divorce

An uncontested divorce typically mitigates costs and conflict between parties. Parties can either file a joint application, whereby the parties are jointly seeking an uncontested divorce. Alternatively, one party can proceed unilaterally by filing an application for divorce, provided the other party does not contest. We understand that this is an extremely difficult and emotional time. Our experienced lawyers are here to help ease you through the process. 

We are pleased to offer our clients a fixed-fee service for an uncontested divorce in the amount of $2,300 + HST, subject to the divorce being uncontested. This service includes the lawyer’s costs in preparing your materials, as well as the court filing fees. This fixed-fee service also ensures that your matter is going to be handled and overseen by a lawyer.
