Sophia started her legal career as a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario prior to graduating from Bond University’s Law School. Sophia received the first in class award in family law during her law degree, which prompted her passion for solving complex family problems. After law school, Sophia pursued a Masters in Law specializing in international commercial law and dispute resolution where she received the first in class award for obtaining an exceptional grade point average by the semesters end.
Sophia practices all areas of family law including issues relating to divorce, parenting time, decision making, child support, spousal support, property division, and marriage, cohabitation, and separation agreements. Sophia will be commencing her collaborative practice training program in March 2025 and will thereafter be practising family law not only in the litigation and mediation arena but in the collaborative space as well.
Sophia’s approach to family law is personalized, client specific and adaptable. Sophia prides herself on being able to adjust her strategy and approach to the many delicate family matters she works on. Whether the matter includes complex litigation, mediation, or negotiated settlements, Sophia has experience practising in many different legal arenas and strives to find the best forum for each of her clients.
Aside from practising law, Sophia enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé, family, and her beloved French Bulldog, Stax. Sophia is also a Be My Eyes volunteer for the visually impaired.
